Eric Heckman

Eric is a well-known speaker and author in the San Jose community. For over 30 years, he has been the president of Heckman Financial and Insurance Services, Inc., a firm that provides objective and comprehensive advice to clients by helping them create strategies to preserve their assets, increase income and potentially reduce taxes.

Eric is the founder of the Financial Knowledge Institute, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and is the author of “Worry Less Wealth.” A longtime San Jose resident, he serves on the board of the Rotary Club of San Jose Foundation, is active in the San Jose Downtown Association and is a Boy Scout leader.

Eric has been married to Anna since college graduation, and they have three boys. Eric and Anna have been remodeling their 1937 Cape Cod-style house in downtown’s Naglee Park in between all of their children’s activities.

Bob has been a financial advisor to many high net worth clients for more than 30 years. He specializes in helping clients with tax efficiency in retirement, diversifying their investments to reduce risk and creating income streams for retirement.

Bob became a financial planner in 1984 and earned the Certified Financial Planner™ credential in 1986. He had his own Registered Investment Advisor firm, Ericson Financial Solutions, for many years before joining Heckman Financial & Insurance Services, Inc. in 2015.

Bob graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He also served as an officer in the Army, including service in Germany and Vietnam, and he is an Eagle Scout.

A well-known speaker and volunteer in the Los Gatos/San Jose community, Bob is a member of the Los Gatos Lions Club, after being a member of the downtown San Jose Rotary Club for 23 years. He was a founder and the first president of the Silicon Valley Planned Giving Council, as well as a founder and board member of the Los Gatos Community Foundation. He was a cubmaster for his two boys when they were young, and he coached his boys’ teams in baseball, basketball and soccer.

Roger started his career in financial services in 1984 as a commodity broker. It was here he learned about various degrees of risk and to understand and respect the consequences of that risk. The commodities world is fast paced and complex, and it can be quite high on the risk scale. As a result, Roger learned from this experience that managing assets and having a long-term plan can help avoid unnecessary detours in clients’ financial lives.

With over 22 years in his current financial and insurance services practice, Roger helps clients gain greater control over their financial situation. He also has served as a mentor to other financial professionals.
